I have learned of a new trend in the wedding and bakery industry, and have decided to join in the fun. Cake balls are scrumptious, decadent morsels of cake, buttercream, and chocolate, all mixed together, rolled into balls, and dipped in chocolate. They can be large 2 1/2 " diameter sized balls placed on a tiered cupcake stand, for a wedding cake display, or small 1 1/2" diameter sized balls that can be served as part of a miniature pastry display, or given as wedding favors, presented in 2" square boxes, to your guests! What's really wonderful is that it's a new form of going "green"; utilizing "cake scraps", a by-product of leveling off wedding cake layers. Instead of throwing perfectly good extra cake away, I can make a tasty, moist, decadent chocolate dipped morsel, in unlimited choices of flavors.

Chocolate Fountain at a Sweet 16 Birthday
We had the opportunity to provide the cake and a chocolate fountain at a sweet 16 birthday party, last night, serving 300 guests! It was quite an event, and experience. Dancing is a lot different than when I was that age, and that was only 5 years ago. LOL. My daughter, Taylor, who is also 16 and the "star" of our YouTube Video, "STOREBOUGHT!!!?", enjoyed helping us with our table upkeep, as well as observing such a large "shindig"

Firefly Night Cake Challenge
Thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to be a little creative at a cake challenge, at the Firefly Night, held at the University of Connecticut Alumni Center, in Storrs, CT. It was a cocktail event, benefitting the Channel 3 Kids Camp, put on in conjunction with ESTOccasions. Wish I could have stayed to see the other challenge entrants.
